Journeys

Journeys into sacred place

Pilgrimage, retreat, culture, and contemplative encounter.

Shambhala Journeys will bring prepared groups into relationship with mountains, monasteries, temples, caves, coastlines, and living communities across the Himalayas and India.

More Than Travel

A journey begins before departure

A Shambhala journey is not designed as spiritual tourism. It begins with orientation and preparation, enters a living place with humility, and continues through reflection and integration after returning home.

The outer movement matters because it can reorganize inner attention. Sacred architecture, landscape, ritual, hospitality, silence, and relationship become part of one field of learning.

Journeys will be announced only when hosts, timing, access, and responsibilities are genuinely in place.

The destination is not consumed. It is entered in relationship.

The Journey Rhythm

Prepare. Encounter. Integrate.

Each phase is part of the teaching.

Prepare

Cultural orientation, practical guidance, contemplative preparation, and clarity of intention.

Encounter

Pilgrimage, practice, dialogue, hospitality, and the disciplined presence that sacred places ask of us.

Integrate

Reflection, mentorship, community, and a return to daily life with a clearer form of service.

Travel With Care

Clear preparation, calm responsibility

Specific requirements will be shared for each journey without turning the invitation into a catalogue of anxieties.

  1. Know the journey

Dates, pace, terrain, accommodation, costs, and what is included are stated clearly.

  2. Prepare honestly

Participants consider health, mobility, visas, insurance, and personal needs before committing.

  3. Respect the host

Local customs, photography boundaries, sacred spaces, and community guidance are honoured.

  4. Stay connected

A clear contact and response plan accompanies every live journey.
